Lamar Union
Lamar Union was my first big project at Studio Dzo. The goal was to provide them with eye-catching building signage, and parking garage entrance signs. Since the entrance for Lamar Union is right on South Lamar Street, we knew we had to make the signage as bold as possible. The only obstacle was the facade of the buildings were not too keen for mounting large, heavy wall sign cabinets. The solution we devised involved sandwiching the rigid, structural railing already there between heavy duty mounting plates, and the back of the cabinets. This allowed us the proper support to mount some giant signs, which ended up being almost 18 feet long.
